The Bobby Torres Ensemble, featuring special guest vocalist Sean Holmes, will be performing at Jimmy Mak’s on Saturday September 24, 2016. Included with your cover, join Julana Torres at 7:00 PM for “Latin-Street-Style” Dance Lessons. No partner and no experience necessary. Music begins at 8:00 PM.

The Bobby Torres Ensemble’s driving Latin polyrhythms, tasty piano licks, fat Latin bass, sizzling horns and Julana Torres Latin-rhythmic vocal styling have set the tone for Latin Jazz in Portland and beyond. As a special guest, Bobby has invited the powerful, soulful and mellifluous singer Sean Holmes to join the Bobby Torres Ensemble for the evening. Sean Holmes follows a long list of high caliber guest artists Bobby has invited to join his band on stage including Alex Acuna, Orestes Vilato, Luis Conte, Shoshanna Bean, Azar Lawrence and, this summer, the Tadeschi Trucks band who joined the Ensemble on Stage at the Blues Festival. As with these other fine artists, the intense energy of both Sean Holmes and Julana Torres will have you jumping to your feet. So, bring your loved ones and your dancing shoes!
